We know that the quality meats we offer our customers will form the foundation for special family gatherings throughout the holiday season.

Beef
When preparing our Standing Rib Roast, we first cut the meat away from the ribs and then tie the meat and ribs back together along the bones. This technique allows for easy carving of the roast while maintaining the undeniable flavor that results from cooking the roast with the bone attached.

Upon request, our Beef Tenderloins can be fully trimmed and then tied with butcher’s twine into a roast of uniform thickness and appearance. By also tucking the tail under the end of the roast, our trimmed and tied tenderloins are easy to cook and require little to no additional preparation.

During the holidays and all year round, we are pleased to offer TFM Premium Choice and Aged Hereford Beef. Our TFM Premium Choice Beef is selected based upon its high levels of marbling throughout, and our Aged Hereford Beef is chosen by breed as a lean and flavorful beef. As always, all of our beef is aged a minimum of 14-21 days for optimal tenderness.

Turkeys
At The Fresh Market, we’re serious about freshness. After all, it is our middle name. During the holidays and throughout the year, we are pleased to be one of the few retailers to offer fresh — never frozen — turkeys in our stores. We invite you to taste the fresh turkey difference. Ours are flavorful and delicious, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. This holiday, we offer two options in fresh turkeys: Carolina Turkeys or Bell & Evans.

There’s no doubt that Bell & Evans Turkeys are a TFM favorite during the holiday season. For more than three decades, Bell & Evans turkey has been served at the White House for the holidays. These fresh turkeys are bred to be lean, with a high ratio of white breast meat, and result in 55% less fat than regular turkeys. Treat yourself to a healthier holiday meal and enjoy this wholesome holiday favorite!

Hams
Our most popular ham is our naturally wood-smoked Spiral Sliced Ham. Available exclusively at The Fresh Market, this ham is naturally hardwood-smoked, honey cured, and topped with a honey maple glaze. Because the ham is already sliced, it doesn't require much effort on your part. You simply have to choose whether to serve our Spiral Ham warmed or chilled from the refrigerator. Either way, your guests will be treated to a special ham.

We also offer a variety of other traditional hams available only during the holidays. Holiday hams include the Smithfield Country Ham, Edwards Petite Country Ham, Nueske’s Spiral Ham and our Fresh Ham.

Lamb
Lamb is a traditional favorite at Christmas, and The Fresh Market is pleased to offer all natural, free range lamb. Tender and mildly flavored, we offer meatier, leaner lamb cuts that are low in cholesterol so you can feel good about what you are eating. Recommended cuts during the holidays include our Leg of Lamb and Frenched Rack of Lamb. Hand-trimmed in our store, these cuts provide the very best in Christmas lamb roasts.
